I think I'd be as happy as Shawn looks if I got hold of that jug. It's huuuuuuge.
Wear a helmet. You don't want to be getting coloring books for christmas for the rest of your life.

Brisbane needs to get one of these, reckon we can convince the guys at Urban Climb? 37m tall with an overhang of 11m.

Ok so I blatently stole this picture from Shawn's awesome trip report from the Bluies/Perp easter trip. But the reason why is i want to ask a few questions:
Mostly for the aspiring trad leaders, but also for anyone who wants to guess. (Current trad leaders need not apply)

1) What's wrong with this picture?

2) Why did he do it? (there's a bit of a hint in the trip report thread if you read it carefully enough)

It appears he clipped the yellow first, then the blue, then the blue again?
Because of a big traverse at risk of groudfall the whole way, he decided to clip the blue again since it would keep the ropes untangled the rest of the way and at the point it probably didn't matter since he was looking at a bad fall regardless of which rope he clipped?
Or was he just really scarred and clipped the first rope he could grab?
Or am I way off?

As he climbed past his first potential bit of gear, he decided to sling a nearby person rather than the bomber tree right next to him.

Sheesh.

hes wearing pants! thats the first mistake of every aspiring trad leader, NO PANTS TRAD!....and also his ropes are crossed...is that it? he did it because he got confused and was all alone on a big scary wall...
