Frog 20/05/13
Duration: 12 hrs
Attendees: 7
Massive day out at Frog, Zac was the newbie with the frog veterans. Climbs of the day were Gladiator (Ninja and I getting sends), Satans Smokestack (great fun but bloody tiring probs won't be going back there) and Iron Mandible (Matteo labeling it as one of the best climbs done at frog so far). Jason had a nice lead on Devils Wart 15

Slider 25/05/13
Duration: 11 hours
Attendees: 11
Awesome day out at slider in perfect weather. The day started on lower slider with some warm up climbs and ninja and matteo cranking out some of the harder routes. The real action started at upper slider, I had a burn on Slider (22) offering some great pumpy forearm destruction climbing. Brendan joined us soon after showing off his guns with a flash of Slider and Squealer (23) a bloody solid effort I must say. Not only does it take guts to do the climbs but you really need balls to rock up and flash the presidents project
Felix also had his first lead on a 15 at lower slider and after much convincing Barbara showed us her moves on Squealer.

KP 29/5/13

Attendance: 20?
Duration: 4 hours
What: 6 top ropes set around gynaecology and LPW area. After an extremely disappointing turnout for setup, we were almost going to not even both setting top ropes, and just lead for the night. We decided to wait for a little longer and then set the 6... Then everyone turned up. It's 5:30 setup guys, not 6:30. You can't expect to turn up late, climb, then leave early and not contribute.

Girraween camping

Duration: 2.5 days
Attendees: 8

Forewarned is forearmed. With Will's encouraging words ringing in our ears we pitched camp Friday night and made noisy plans for the day ahead. Castle Rock (looks nothing like a castle BTW) gave us a feel for the level of development: 25m routes with one bolt. Literally one bolt - no anchors, so go for a walk and find a tree. Also: wineries.

Turtle rock on Sunday was... character building. Looong walk in then we struggled to find any routes we could actually belay a seconder (less trees, see). The starred New Boots was a sandbag in the face of a chill wind, and Liam and I tentatively followed Brendan up Wading Ape. BOLDEST. LEAD. EVER. Not the runout (groundfall potential from the second pitch?!) but the progressive disappearance of any features. Sandbagged again. But the view from the top is stunning eh. Also: brewery.

Some diehards stayed around for day 3. Think the plan was to go bouldering.

EDIT for day 3:
Woke up at 8:30am to the lovely sound of rain on the tent. We then sat around for as long as we could in the dry, waiting for the rain to die down. Eventually we realised that it just wasn't going to happen, so we packed down in the rain, and made for home. All we achieved by staying was another night of freezing our balls off, but somehow it was still worth it

Brooyar 28-30/6
Attendees: 7
Duration: 2.5 days
Winter Brooyar trip. Piss poor attendence, probably due to weather forecasts, but joke's on y'all as we had dry days and all rode the send train. Toot toot! Bit of a learning experience too as we spent time at both Eagle's Nest and Point Pure so everyone practiced their top belay. Max mastered that before he even knew how to clean an anchor!
Props also to Jonker who got his mojo back on DH4 (20.5**). Dougal too for his 'twisted firestarter' skills.
Pity about the neighbours...

A full weekend of climbing

Saturday Frog Day Trip
Attendees: 2
Duration: 12hrs
Climbed a solid day with 7 climbs all at 18 or above. I got to try out some RP brass nuts which was fun. I was in shamble climbing Footlose and Falling Free (20) but managed to send.

Ngungun 1st trip of Semester
Attendees: 15 or there abouts, can't be bothered counting.
Duration: 12 hrs
Nice relaxing day crushing the easy climbs at andromeda (and the pies and pizzas from the bakery and pub). Not the best show of newbies but had heaps of new leaders getting the feel for it. We had the hard men on acid as well, no sends but looks like an pretty sweet climb. Chuck managed to get a nice flapper, not a climbing flapper but instead on his foot when he had a run in with a twig. It gave us a chance to christen the first aid kits at least. A nice day out overall.

...... ohhhhh and the shit
